“In the world there are thousands of different joys, but essentially it is always one single joy — the joy of being able to love.”
Michael Ende – The Neverending Story
Fourteen-carat yellow and rose gold, brilliant-cut diamonds, and tourmalines of the highest quality. We present a selection of jewelry from the Orin collection, whose face is tennis player Barbora Strýcová. Her story, filled with perseverance and incredible dedication, as well as a kind of rebirth she experienced when she won Wimbledon shortly after the birth of her son, embodies a serpent strength that can inspire each of us.
“The serpent is a being that lives its life according to what it perceives. When I translate its qualities to humans, it is about gathering one’s own strength from within. I am fascinated by its ability to be guided purely by inner vibrations.”
Janja on her admiration for the symbolic animal that winds its way through the Orin collection.
The key stone of the collection is tourmaline, used in most pieces as the central stone around which everything revolves. It is a stone that helps one connect to oneself and to one’s source.
“Tourmaline is my favorite stone, which captivated me from the very beginning of my jewelry-making journey. I was also enchanted by the way it grows in rock fissures. For the Orin collection, I selected stones of the highest quality because I believe that quality is a symbol of purity, and I believe this also influences its energy. A stone in its pure form, without inclusions, holds the greatest power.”
Janja on her love for tourmalines, which in green and pink variations adorn the gold jewelry of the collection.
The Neverending Story, a seminal film for the designer Janja, also inspired the name of the entire collection. The Orin necklace was worn by the main hero, Atreyu. The amulet with intertwined serpents gave him strength and courage on his extraordinary journey.
