Homa

The HOMA collection soars on birds’ wings over the Arafura Sea to Papua New Guinea. It draws inspiration from the culture, myths, and unique natural heritage of this island, the only place in the world where “birds of paradise” can be found. These heavenly delicate creatures and their feathers symbolise divine protection and untouchable purity in their very essence. They embody a beauty so profound that it resists the forces of evil.

As with most of the designer’s collections, tradition and rituals play a significant role, and the jewellery in this collection was inspired by the ceremonial masks of Papuan tribes. The central element of the collection is the feather, symbolising protection from above. Another key motif is the eye, which serves as protection against evil spirits and is once again rooted in the ancient rituals of the island’s inhabitants. It represents a place between heaven and earth, the treetops and the flight of birds, amidst the silent mist of ancient forests. Both symbols are interconnected. The texture of birds’ wings often forms an eye. The stones in the collection reflect the true colours of the feathers of these extraordinary creatures.

Untouchable as earth angels, Whirling in the heart

We fly over your heads,
Protecting the mind from above.

We are the birds of paradise.
We are children swirling the heavens Under the eye of the sun.

We are eternal,
In the legend of love.
