Amor Fati
Amor Fati translates from Latin as “Love your fate.” It means accepting your life with all its variables, embracing every aspect, including the hardships and trials, as they are also part of our existence and contribute to our growth and development. Everything happens for a reason and has a higher purpose. The concept of Amor Fati was first introduced by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It inspires us to accept everything that happens in life, whether good or bad, and see it as an essential part of our personal journey. Symbolically collection is supported by two powerful symbols, with the most important being the Moth—an insect in which few initially see beauty, just as in the more difficult life situations. “The moth always seeks its way to the light, relentlessly and tirelessly. The light gives it direction, guiding it back to the right path, especially when faced with big decisions,” says Janja. The Amor Fati collection is about how anyone can be tested, can get lost in the dark woods, but inner strength and a personal compass can help even the lost find their way out. With inner power and love in our hearts, we can overcome even the most challenging phases of our fate.
Another powerful symbol is the forest. “In many myths and fairy tales, the forest is a place of transformation, where heroes undergo trials that lead to personal growth. The forest can symbolize a spiritual or psychological journey. One where the individual changes and develops. Many cultures view forests as places of high spiritual energy,” describes Janja. The main gem stones of the collection are aquamarine and rose quartz. Both are linked to spiritual growth, enhancing intuition, and bringing a sense of calm and balance. Aquamarine was once a talisman for sailors, who believed it protected them from the dangers of the sea. “This stone is associated with courage and protection, especially when overcoming danger. It clarifies the mind and brings peace and tranquility. It aids in the ability to express oneself, allowing for experiences, and thus returning to one’s authenticity,” says Janja. Alongside aquamarine, rose quartz plays a key role in the Amor Fati collection. It opens the heart, allowing love to flow, both to receive and express. It is strongly connected with emotional healing. “It can soothe pain and sorrow, heal old wounds, and help us accept ourselves as we are,” the jeweler adds.
