“I chose Ester because to me, she embodies the essence of the moth. I feel she has walked through the dark forest a few times herself, and that’s exactly why she can understand what this collection is about and what I wish to convey through it,” says Janja. She adds: “Just like the moth is drawn to light, I see Ester as someone who carries light within her. Her personality and her artistic expression speak to me deeply, and her exhibition at Kunsthalle moved me profoundly—it touched on themes that were personally significant in the creation of this collection. Her ability to dive deep is exceptional, but equally remarkable is how naturally she can speak about inner experiences, opening others to sensitivity and emotional awareness.”
Amor Fati translates from Latin as “Love of fate.” It means embracing life with all its variables—loving every part of it, including trials and hardships, because they are essential elements of our existence and growth. The collection draws on several powerful symbols, the most significant being the moth. At first glance, few would see beauty in a moth—just as we often overlook the value in life’s difficult moments. But when viewed more closely, the moth reveals its quiet elegance and strength. Another central symbol in the collection is the forest—a place of transformation in myths and fairy tales, where heroes face trials that lead to personal growth.
The key gemstones in the Amor Fati collection are aquamarine and rose quartz. Both are associated with spiritual growth and deepening intuition, promoting a sense of calm and balance.
