Charity project BeCoat by BeCharity has been connecting fashion, jewelry, and solidarity for several years. Under the curatorial guidance of Andrea Běhounková, a collection of seven original designs was created, each carrying not only aesthetic value but also a deep human message. Every purchased model represented help for a particular child in need. Janja joined the project alongside fashion designer Zoltán Tóth. She designed a gold-plated ring with floral motifs and a pearl necklace that is just as versatile as Zoltán’s coat.
“I used flowers as a metaphor for the idea that we can bloom or take root even in an environment that might initially seem strange to us—and that every human life has the right to become a part of our community.”
The model was auctioned off for 107,000 CZK, which will help young Filip, who has cerebral palsy, by funding the purchase of a special rehabilitation exercise bike. The event was part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
